1. Exercise early before you get busy
If you’re a morning person, set an alarm and get going. This could be your favourite exercise class or just a morning stroll around the local park. This way you’re already set up for the day before everything else gets in the way.
2. Be active throughout the day
When scheduling exercise is impossible to do, try and squeeze in exercise with something you are already doing, such as walking the dog, or doing the food shopping. Maybe you could walk to the shops instead of driving? It all counts!
3. Commit to exercise with someone else
Plan in doing some exercise with someone else, it’s much harder to cancel plans when you feel you’re letting someone down.
4. Choose something you really enjoy
You will always make time for something if you know you’re going to enjoy doing it! Choose an exercise that you like & you’re more likely to stick to it.
5. Be active at home
To save yourself time travelling out, you could do a home workout instead. Or you might do some of the household chores – that always works up a sweat!
Remember that being active each day is one of the most important things you can do for your health.
